The Filtered VERSAstream™ Data Access Switch gives you the power to apply port level packet filtering to your SPAN monitoring solutions. Ensure your network and security tools only get the data they need.
Line-rate filtering eliminates unwanted traffic from your analysis tools or security sensors, making them easier to manage. With less data to work with, network devices run faster and more effectively.

- Advanced filtering technology can filter network traffic sent to any of the monitoring ports based upon IP address, port number, MAC address, VLAN, frame, protocol type, or cutomizable off sets in the IP header. Filters can be applied at both the ingress and egress ports.
- “Any to Any” architecture can send traffic from any of its four input ports, to any of its four monitoring ports, eliminating the need for network managers to manage or change complex confi gurations of SPAN ports or move tools around their network.
- “Many to Any” architecture combines traffic from up to four of the input ports, providing the connected monitored devices visibility into multiple network segments. One monitoring tool with a single NIC can view up to four SPAN sessions. Ease of management combined with central deployment saves time. Fewer tools saves money on deployment, ongoing maintenance and licensing costs.
- “One to Many” architecture allows the Filtered VERSAstream™ to send multiple copies of data from the input port to multiple monitoring devices, eliminating contention for access to critical links. A combination of monitoring and analysis tools can be connected to a single network segment to provide better security and troubleshooting. You can also choose to connect several identical devices to load balance your tools and improve utilization.
